A New Addition To Our Family

Greetings! Thanks for stopping by our website. Today is a windy day and we are hoping the electric stays on otherwise the Martins will have chilly night! Wifey and GreanBean witnessed a tree fall across their road this afternoon. Thank the Lord they were far enough away to stop. Wifey said some "manly men in camouflage" who also happened upon the fallen tree drug it off the road while she sat safely in the car. They were on their way home with the cat we just adopted. "Ruby" is the name she came with. She is 6 months old and not as feminine as she used to be (ahem).


Ruby seems to be very well adjusted to people. She was being taken care of by a foster "parent" who litter box trained her and got her all her shots. So, we have a cat now. I like a cat or two as long they don't wreck things. Ruby already ate the flowers off our Cyclimen plant. I hope she doesn't eat the pointsetta... then we would have a dead kitty.
GreanBean loves to read books and be read to. She has recently started singing and loves to do that too! Her favorite songs are "Go Tell It On The Mountain" and "Away In A Manger". She such a joy!
Here's Andrea at 4 weeks and 3 days old. She has been sleeping about 6-7 hours at night which makes her parents grin as they sleep too. Grammy Martin and GreanBean, say "CHEEEESE!" This picture is from New Years Day 2006 when the Martins came over for Christmas.
