Fireproof Comments

Our Parenting Sunday School class was treated to an afternoon out thanks to the Youth Group volunteering to watch our kids. We went to see Fireproof.
For not being a traditionally produced, Hollywood movie it was fantastic. There are few topics that get me choked up but repentance, forgiveness and stories of how God changes people from the inside out tend to turn on the spigots.
This movie will challenge husbands to be men of honor and integrity, who love their wives selflessly. I am one who needed the reminder and inspiration, yes, conviction. The "Martin Triangle" is really a reminder to me of the priorities I should be keeping but really, honestly, don't try very hard at. That's the truth. I am lazy and selfish.
If you are wondering what happened to the romance in your marriage; what happened to the closeness, the likability,the passion, the happiness? Watch this movie but don't stop there. Pray, get rid of the "parasites" and distractions, get some accountability in your life. That's all.
