How The Martins Have Adjusted to the Economy
We stopped using hot and warm water for laundry; just cold. (last month this saved us about 250KWH compared to the same month last year)
Run fans instead of A.C. if its not over 90 degrees.
No vacations.
Don't visit family as often.
Grow and preserve our own food as much as possible.
Make efforts to plan and combine trips to stores.
Getting quotes to have a chimney and stove installed. (still haven't decided: wood or coal)

We always use cold water too. Though, my reason for doing it is b/c I don't want to risk shrinking any clothes
