Late Twenties
"Today is my one hundred and eleventh birthday!"
I don't feel that old but "late twenties" is not old. A birthday that falls on a National Holiday about once a decade is kinda cool, though.
Thanks to the Shelly's, Slothours and others who conveyed birthday well-wishes. I had a nice day.
I know I've mentioned my birthday a lot to people for which I feel rather silly now. I think I've talked about it more this year because it falls on a holiday and it is my last twenty-something birthday. I even shaved my beard off just to see if I still look like I'm 18.
The kind cashier at JC Penney asked me that because you have to be 18 to get a credit card.
To all you "black friday" shoppers: I think you're nuts. You will find me in my basement or attic doing home improvement projects.
PS Thanks for correcting my grammar and for reading and commenting!

looks like your son is doing an obscene gesture
clearly he did not want his picture taken. Is this type of gesture indicatve of gestures that take place in your home?
wow, I still think that you guys posting on here must be joking; how could any serious person take a typo to be racial profiling and discrimination. How can an innocent picture of an infant be so offensive when it was just that: innocent.
He is right to moderate these comments, with all your offensive accusations, he has every right to keep this as a family blog and not a sounding board for your anarchical rants and senselessness.
Welcome Jon! Let me be the first one to greet you here on the INTERNET. Since you guys don't appreciate visitors to your site, I had to go out and find replacement Martins to fill my need for a pretend online family. Their Website
Not only is he also named Andrew, and they have kids - but they are missionaries! And they like people commenting on their articles! Oh, one last tip - if you don't want random people reading and commenting - DON'T PUT IT ON THE INTERNET.
Thanks for your comment "Bob". Your point is noted. I understand this a public site. You are welcome to read but you are not necessarily welcome to comment. To be honest, I was a little creeped out by GrampyMartin and possibly others who have been commenting recently. I checked out TheMartinFamily blog. Thanks for the lead; I may try to stay informed about their adventures in Uganda and pray for them. I pray far too little.
