I Stand Corrected!

GreenBean has an amazing memory!

 

I was reading her a children's book last night and mis-read one sentence on one page. This is the conversation that followed...

 

"Daddy... you need to read this page over again."

 

"What? Why?"

 

"Daddy... you need to read this page over again."

 

"Why?"

 

"Because you did not read it correctly."

 

I laugh, slightly embarassed and shocked that I have just had my reading corrected by my almost 4 year old daughter!

 

"How do you know I didn't read it correctly? Ahem."

 

"Daddy, I know the story."

 

"Oh, well, I stand corrected. You are right. I did not read the page correctly."

 

I re-read the page.

 

"Here, why don't you read the next page..."

 

Priceless!!!

 

PS She has "read" entire books to my wife and I. If only we were putting more scripture into her brain instead of children's stories.
