5 Years, 0-2

Greetings Readers,

I'm just eating my breakfast before heading out into the effects of The Blizzard of '07. Last weekend we were thinking I might be able to start preparing the garden this weekend because we noticed that some of our local farmers had already been able to plow their fields. Of course, peas should be planted soon after St Patty's Day (today).

Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
Proverbs 13:12
Yesterday we "celebrated" our 5th Wedding Anniversary. There were plans to actually stay overnight without the girls but through a series of unfortunate events those plans were scuttled. I had also made some attempt to find a babysitter back in February so Wifey and I could go out for her birthday but the attempts were inadequate. So we are 0-2 on date attempts. (humph) Hopefully the plow comes through before noon today because we have a babysitter lined up so we can go to lunch together. Later this evening there is a Couple's Evening at church with babysitting provided to which we are also looking forward with some anticipation.

Oh, I almost forgot... our news! Last Thursday Wifey had her first ultra-sound for this pregnancy. Modern technology has revealed to us that the gender of our baby is... male! We are excited about this even though it causes some logistics challenges in our home. These mostly involve sleeping arrangements and clothes.

Take care and leave a comment if you have time. Thanks for reading.

Congrats guys! Boys are so much fun! We'll have to try to get together this summer! We are driving by Allentown in September on our way to THE Jersey Shore. Maybe we could see the new baby at that time too if you were home!
