July 18, 2007

It's my Mom's birthday but that's not why I'm writing about 7/18. If I told you we are really going to need a bigger vehicle by then; you would get the idea. The white Corolla just doesn't have enough space for three car seats.
At the time of this writing Wifey is about 12 weeks along. Our hope had been to wait until "Screamer" was at least two but not older than three years old but the Lord had other, better plans.

In other news...

Motion SicknessScreamer, anka (also now known as) Stinker, barfed while on the way to church this morning. ABOVE: This is Stinker enjoying some Oreo cookies for dessert. That makes it two weeks in a row. Last week we learned a few things:

  1. We need a M.S.P.K. (Motion Sickness Preparedness Kit) (I just made that up) in the car. This would include: paper towels, latex gloves, Clorox wipes, Lysol, Febreze, spare outfit(s), and plastic bags.
  2. Stinker needs to be facing forward ASAP. She is still in her rear facing infant car seat because she is technically too light to face forward.
  3. Too much breakfast too close to vehicular travel increases the likely hood of breakfast RE-appearance. We've known this since the first time it happened but there isn't much we can do about Sunday morning unless we wake her up at 7am or earlier.
Consequently, this morning we were much more prepared for the awfulness. The worst part is the stench of stomach bile mingled with fruit juice and breakfast. (Ack, Agh, Aghhhh)

Tantrum QueenGreenBean seems to have been pre-programmed with some "mal-ware" that, at certain times, causes her to run around in a screaming rage. She falls on the floor then wipes her face across it, licking or biting it too. If anyone has a "patch" or "bug-fix" for this type of "mal-ware" please fwd it to us ASAP. I've tried contacting Microsoft, Symantec, Zone Labs and Dell but they have not returned my inquiries. ABOVE: GreenBean is demonstrating how she cleans her face with her dog-length tongue. Actually she has just eaten some Oreo cookies, too.

Has anyone ever hiked the West Rim Trail at the PA "Grand" Canyon?

Becky L,

You poor souls! Just wait till the "horrific threes" (as Wifey calls them). Has Erica stopped taking naps too? GreenBean has and consequently gets to go to bed by 8pm. However, bedtime is usually preceded (take tonight for example) with much whining, crying, screaming and misery. She will be going to bed closer to 730pm next week.

one tantrum tell her next time she will get spanked. next tantrum, as soon as it starts, spank. Repeat cycle till child learns. Bible is quite clear on spanking. It does a great job at ending tantrums. Also comes highly recommended for lying, disrespect, hitting, and a host of other childhood disorders which are parents jobs to fix. As a parent of 3, I have never regretted spanking, but have regretted times not spanked.
