Two Vehicle Accidents This Week

NOTE TO DISCERNING READERS: do not be unaware of the Devil. The Scripture says that he is prowling about like a roaring lion, looking for someone to destroy. In Mark 9 we read about an evil spirit that tries to harm and kill a boy and we read that his father pleads with Jesus to heal him, "Lord, I believe, please forgive my unbelief!" In Daniel 10 you can read about how Daniel was fasting and praying for 3 weeks until an angel was able to come to him. The angel was "detained by the prince of Persia" until the arch-angel Michael came to assist him. Do you think the Devil is any less active today than he was during the times of Daniel's or Jesus' lives here on earth? Do you think the devil can try to cause harm to followers of Christ?

COLLISION #1
I was sitting in a line of traffic at a red light on 100S as was the black trailblazer behind me. Suddenly I hear that most awful of sounds, the sound of vehicle collision. A young, female college student slammed into the back of the trailblazer. A moment later the trailblazer collides with the right rear of our truck. I was not injured. NOTE TO SELF: State Farm Insurance seems to be a nice company to deal with (our company is Erie)

COLLISION #2
The Martins are driving home from church this morning and are traveling through a heavily used portion of Mauch Chunk Road (pronounced Maw Chunk), the 15th St exit off of 22. A gold Bravada begins to turn left onto Mauch Chunk directly in our path. I veer our car toward the oncoming left turn lane and traffic lane. The Bravada continues its oblivious and slow left turn and collides with the right rear of our car; just behind GreenBean's door.

The Lord definitely protected us because there was no oncoming traffic at that moment and the Bravada could have hit us broad side if we had not accelerated a little bit.

SPIRITUAL WEAPONS FOR SPIRITUAL BATTLES
Wifey and I were just talking Saturday evening about how we had noticed and sensed some spiritual struggle going on in our house and personally. GreenBean has recently been waking up screaming and crying a couple times a week; nightmares we guess.

We believe we are under spiritual attack and that it has something to do with our house and our personal lives. This Thursday, 3/2 our Pastor and some intercessors are coming to our house to pray for it; to cleanse it. Call it a "house dedication" if that makes you more comfortable. Please pray that God would give us discernment and that we would make some needed changes in our personal lives. Pray also for physical and spiritual protection.

Thanks and please let us know who is praying by leaving a comment.

It would be easy to wonder, "If this is 'under control' what does 'out of control' look like?", but we live by faith not by sight. I'll pray that you'll be quick learners and not need much knocking around--and me too!

Hey Putz, we both know that spiritual warfare is real and that Satan is a formidable foe. We also both know that he is defeated in every area and is a dog on a chain so to speak. His chain is only as long as the Lord allows. Sometimes it seems a whole lot longer than we think it should be. Anyway, enough theology. I will be say a prayer for you and your family. I pray that if Satan has found a foothold in either your home or personal lives that that stronghold will be demolished. The positive side to times like this is they remind us that this world and the problems of this world are just temporary and we are on our journey home!! If our lives would be free of problems it would be easy to want to stay here. We need to get together sometime, its been a while since we've been together. We have so much to say...such as we are expecting munchkin #3!!! Anyway, enough babble, I will say a prayer for you and your family.
